A new center of air traffic management to open at “Vnukovo” airport by 2012
December 3, AVIA.RU – Construction of a new Moscow integrated operations center for air traffic management started at “Vnukovo” airport, says Aviation Explorer.
According to plans, the building will be ready by 2012. More than 4 billion rubles will be required for construction, said general director of FSUE “Air Traffic Management of Russian Federation” Valeriy Gorbenko during his press conference.
According to Gorbenko, 3.1 billion rubles will be spent in construction expenses and additional 1 billion rubles will be collected from non-budgetary resources. Technology will be delivered mainly by the Russian manufacturers. In particular, we do have agreements with companies “Koncern” OJSC, “PVO” OJSC and “Almaz-Antei” OJSC.
The old center will continue to do business at “Vnukovo” until the new one is built.
