Air Company Somon Air joins few more BSPs in Europe
Air Company Somon Air LLC joins few other countries that participate in BSP (Billing & Settlement Plan). In last two weeks, the company has entered BSP Austria, Switzerland, Egypt and Turkey, and soon it will also join BSP United Kingdom. This step will allow the company to expand the sales network realized by accredited IATA (International Air Transport Association) agents in aforementioned countries, expend the company’s flight geography and route network, increase the passenger loading and create a connecting flight network.
BSP is a system designed to facilitate and simplify the selling, reporting and remitting procedures of IATA Accredited Passenger Sales Agents, as well as improve financial control and cash flow for BSP Airlines. The main feature of BSP is the use of Neutral Standard Traffic Document (STD). The sale of airline tickets through BSP allows agents and airlines to decrease administrative expenses, helps with distribution of billing reports, leads to an increased financial control, and assists with settlement of disputes. BSP also simplifies the process of ticket issuance, permitting for a quality control and transfer of realized funds.
