SOMON AIR AND KAYAN TRAVEL GROUP SIGNED A MEMORANDUM OF MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING

The Somon Air management, headed by CEO Abdulkosim Valiev, held a meeting on April 11, with a delegation from the Kayan Travel Group Air Travel Agency (Saudi Arabia), headed by the Chairman Turki Al Sailani. A Memorandum of mutual understanding was signed between Somon Air and Kayan Travel Group for establishing of mutual cooperation in air transportation and connectivity for citizens of each respective country, travelling between the two countries on business and tourism sector, and for cargo transportation. 

According to the terms of the Memorandum, Somon Air intends to develop flights on the Dushanbe-Jeddah-Dushanbe route, and Kayan Travel Group to attract passengers from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Tajikistan for tourism, business, educational, medical and other purposes.

Somon Air launched direct regular flights on the Dushanbe-Jeddah-Dushanbe route in March this year. Currently, flights from Dushanbe to Jeddah are operated weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays. Departure time from Dushanbe - 21:50, from Jeddah - 02:50 (Wednesday and Saturday) local time.

Somon Air currently operates regular flights between Tajikistan and Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, China, India, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The airline’s fleet consists of Boeing 737-800 and 737-900 aircraft.
