Somon Air holds meeting with Rolls-Royce and UK Export Finance in the United Kingdom
On 21 May 2026, a working meeting was held in Derby, United Kingdom, between the management of Somon Air and representatives of Rolls-Royce and UK Export Finance (UKEF).
During the meeting, representatives of Rolls-Royce delivered a presentation on the state-of-the-art Trent 1000 XE aircraft engines designed for the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner wide-body aircraft.
The parties discussed the engines’ technical specifications, innovative technologies, and the prospects for their use in the operation of next-generation aircraft.
Representatives of UK Export Finance (UKEF) briefed the participants on export finance instruments available to support projects in the aviation sector. The parties also discussed opportunities for cooperation on matters of mutual interest.
Particular attention was given to the prospects for the development of the airline’s fleet, including the operation of modern Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner wide-body aircraft, as well as potential areas of cooperation.
The meeting took place in a constructive and business-like atmosphere, confirming the parties’ mutual interest in further strengthening their partnership and expanding cooperation.
