A MEETING BETWEEN THE MANAGEMENT OF SOMON AIR AND XINJIANG AIRPORT GROUP CO., LTD TOOK PLACE IN DUSHANBE

On May 27, 2025, an official meeting was held at the Somon Air office between the airline's management and representatives of Xinjiang Airport Group Co., Ltd.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of the international aviation services market, including between Xinjiang and the Central Asian countries. The purpose of the Chinese delegation’s visit was to explore prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation and to engage in in-depth dialogue on the development of air communication and the expansion of the route network between cities in the Republic of Tajikistan and cities in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China.

Xinjiang Airport Group Co., Ltd was represented at the meeting by General Manager of Xinjiang Airport Group Lu Huibin and Director of Marketing Committee Zhang Jun.

Both parties expressed interest in further strengthening their partnership, which will contribute to the expansion of transportation links between Tajikistan and China, as well as the development of economic and cultural cooperation.

Somon Air continues to actively expand its international partnerships, opening up new opportunities for passengers and strengthening Tajikistan's position on the global aviation stage.

Xinjiang Airport Group Co., Ltd is a company that manages civil airports in Xinjiang. As of 2024, it operates 26 airports, including the international airports of Urumqi and Kashgar.

Somon Air has been successfully operating in the international market since 2008 and is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The airline's fleet includes modern Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-900 aircraft. Currently, Somon Air operates regular flights from Tajikistan to Germany, the UAE, Turkey, China, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iran, India, Egypt, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
